THE Open is golf's original championship. Played since 1860 on iconic links golf courses, it is the sport's most international major championship with qualifying events on every continent. For 1 week each year, the pursuit of the famous Claret Jug trophy is the focus of the sporting world, followed globally by millions of fans. This year the 154th Open will be played at Royal Birkdale from:- 12 July to 19 July 2026. It is hoped that the event will deliver an economic benefit of over £150 million to the Region, while the Championship's commercial success supports the development of the game worldwide.

This year T Poston has qualified for The 154th Open at the Royal Birkdale through the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday.

Poston finished in a tie for 1st place after the regulation:- 72 holes with the already exempt Ryan Gerard on a:- 12 under par total of 276.

Also, on:- 26 April 2026, Singapore: Jeongwoo Ham and Cameron John qualified for The 154th Open, through the:- Singapore Open. Presented by The Business Times. Ham will make his debut in The Open after winning the event by 2 shots on a:- 16 under par total of 268. John, who will also make his debut at Royal Birkdale, earned his place after finishing in second place on:- 14 under par.



The next event in The Open Qualifying Series is the:- RBC Canadian Open, which is due to be played at:- TPC Toronto, at Osprey Valley, from:- 11 June to 14 June 2026.
