The latest research, conducted by Saga Exceptional, has found that out of the 43 Regions in England and Wales, Merseyside comes in 2nd place!

This finding came about as Saha Exceptional, who are part of the Saga brand wanted to discover where was best to live for the over 50s. Amongst the judging factors were: highly rated activities, burglary rates, average house price, square miles per pub, and average age.

 
  • Merseyside was found to be the second best area to live if you are over 50 with a suitability rating of 73.6%. It was closely beaten by Cornwall & Devon (79.8%).
     
  • Merseyside also came out in 2nd place for area where pubs are closet together with 0.22 square miles per pub
     
  • Merseyside also came out in 3rd place when revealing the area(s) that have the most top-rated things to do with 923 activities on offer compared to the national average of 395.
